Michelangelo Barrassi, born in Calabria, Italy, near the wonderful city of Sicily, started his first restaurant at 19. He later moved to New York, where for the past 45 years have been perfecting his formula that makes the best pizza. When he moved to Florida, Mr. Barrassi founded Michelangelo Italian Ristorante Pizzeria in Sunrise. The dining spot is easily reachable in and out of Fort Lauderdale where diners come as far as Miami in the South and Orlando from the North.
